This is a poem by Jenny McBride.
I have a compass
And it always points North.
Something in my inner ear
Bear towards the cold, the lonely.
The air is clean, the stars are loud
And the wild things are shaggy.
It clears my soul, it calms my sadness
And stokes my love of Earth to bursting.
I have a compass
And it always points North.
